Creative Director & Co-Founder
2018-2023

Established in 2018 by Dan Hardy, Owen Oxley, Wad Alamedine, Ollie Richardson & Dean Amasinger. Full Reptille Collective was a Lifesyle Brand focusing on the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). The purpose was to create a community of like-minded people with a passion for MMA.

My experience of creating handmade custom garments & websites was priceless. We started out by launching our 'First 100' this was a small soft launch that we promoted on instagram and our YouTube channel. The 'First 100' was a fantastic way of launcing our brand and doing a 'Test Trade' we only had to commit to small numbers of super high quality products.

Following the launch of the first 100 we went live with our flagship website fullreptile.co.uk. I was responsible for building and managing the website as well as all the products and orders. I also designed all the products, made them and prepared them for sale (Designing, Printing/Sewing, Photographing, Editing, Making the product & Dispatching) I worked closely with our internal team as well as suppliers and customers.

It was a really unique job that I would see everything through personally from the very start of an initial idea to the execution of creating and marketing that product, and then package and send it out. I worked closely mainly with Dan on Creative ideas as we both worked similarly when it came to how we wanted to company represented.

One of the great freedoms that we had was being able to do small runs of really bespoke designs and listening to what our audience wanted, This could be seen on our Podcasts either comments on the live stream or show or messaged directly too me. Because of this our range grew really quickly and included Clothing, Headwear, Gym Gear, Coffee Beans, MCT & CBD Oil, and a huge range of accessories like Socks, Drinking Flasks, Stationary etc

As a company we were also really concious of 'Single Use' & waste when it came to our products, I would hand stamp all of the swing tags for our clothing and Coffee bags as well as all of our postage and pre-packing bags were compostable & bio-degradable.

My Full Reptile Collective responsabilities included:

  • Branding Guidelines including multiple logo design

Podcasts

With Dan being a former Fighter and world class anylist A big part of Full Reptile were our Podcasts. It was a great way to interact with our audience and we had a big scope of content from super serious to a really relaxed look at fighting and life in general.

I was a co-host of Full Reptile Radio and made all the graphics and screen savers. For the other podcasts I designed & created some of the logos and thumbnails for YouTube.

Outlawed Picks Podcast was the trickiest as Dan would break down aprox 15 Fights that would need on-screen graphics for the podcast, but it was a great feeling seeing them up on the screen.

Full Reptile Radio Podcast (Video & Audio)

Full Reptile Radio was a weekly MMA Podcast with myself and Dan Hardy discussing the previous weeks fights and upcoming fights. It was a really fun project that would often fly off on multiple tangents where we could be discussing everything in the fight world and end up discussing School trips in the 80's.

Outlawed Picks Podcast (Video & Audio)

Outlawed Picks Podcast was another weekly MMA Podcast that would breakdown the weekends upcoming fights. I drew the original logo with a nod to the old Pride Fighting Championships logo and incorporated Dans fighting nickname 'The Outlaw'.

Full Reptile Aftermath (Video & Audio)

A podcast that we would do following a big event or fight. Dan & Veronica would also often do these as a live broadcast due to the fights normally being in America, the UK would only be catching up early hours of Sunday.

The War Room (Video & Audio)

This Podcast was a really indepth breakdown of a specific fight, usually a Championship fight or Main Event. Dan's experience in this world was second to none and really showed with the popularity of 'The War Room'.

Worldwide

With Dan being an internationally recognised MMA Fighter/Personallity it was a great springboard for our platform. We recieved orders from all over the world (until Brexit) and had the best fans/family when it came to customers/followers.

During our run we worked with some incredible people and companies, we had a colab with one of the best Jiu Jitsu companies around Scramble and sold out of our Custom Rash Guard & Spats in record time. We also had the pleasure of being at the Body Power Event where we got face to face with a number of our followers. We had a stall and a three day Jiu Jitsu Event. We also went further afield and covered many of the UFC fights all over the world, This was a huge highlight as a fight fan but also opened the doors to working with people we would'nt normally be bumping into.

A huge eye opener for me were workinhg with sponsors, we were fortunate to get sponsorhip with some incredible companies including Bet365, Rygor Mercedes, Outlaw Rum Co, Combat Sports Performance, Vortex, Vigour8 and more.

It was these types of opportunity that I took with both hands, from meetings with some of these people and connections through Full Reptile I worked with Rygor directly as well as Vigour8, EMMAA (English Mixed Martial Arts). I'll always be grateful to FRC for that.

The Raptors

It wasn't long into the launch of Full Reptile that we were on the hunt for Videographers & Photographers and we found two of the best! First came James Mistry with a really unique mind & vision when it came to videos & photos, then bring in his right hand man Jamie Allsop who had years of experience behind the lens and also with product photography, both were really interested in MMA and with an overall common goal of taking over the digital MMA space, and the team was complete.

The Raptors were a big part of all podcasts but featured on Full Reptile Radio, The last few eppisodes of FRR were with myself and Jamie as Dan's work schdule became to busy to stop and film. It was intersting to work directly with Jamie as he would teach me how to edit the video and upload to YouTube, All extra skills.

It was amazing to see the Raptors become a huge part of the MMA Scene at home and abroad. there is a time that you can see them behind the scenes at all the UFC, Cage Warriors, Polaris, Bellator & PFL events. So much so that we made the Raptors their own Merch.

Closing the Shop Doors

The whole 5 years of Full Reptile went past like a Porsche. Some would say that everything was stacked against us from the start with job swaps, global pandemic and lockdowns, Brexit vote that made overseas orders a nightmare not to mention the costs of everything afterwards going insane.

The entire experience was amazing and I met some incredible people. I'll be forever grateful to Dan and Full Reptile for the opportunity to be a part of something so special.
